Activity Reports and Financial Statements

The TUSEV 2024 Annual Board of Trustees Meeting took place on Wednesday, May 22nd, hosted by the Vehbi Koç Foundation at the Divan Istanbul Hotel. During the meeting, TUSEV’s activities for 2023 were presented, and the 2023 financial statements, independent audit, and Audit Committee reports were shared and approved by the members of the Executive Board and Audit Committee, as well as the Board of Trustees. Following the presentation of TUSEV’s 2024 work program to the members, the 2024 budget was discussed and approved by the members. As a result of the evaluation of membership applications and their approval by the Board of Trustees, the following organizations joined TUSEV as members: Ahmet Demircan Foundation, German High School Culture and Education Foundation, Bir Adım Var Foundation, Bulgurcu Foundation, Health and Education Foundation, and Support Foundation for Civil Society.

An event was held after the Board of Trustees Meeting aimed to strengthen relationships and increase collaboration among TUSEV members. During this event, members had the opportunity to evaluate and exchange ideas on potential collaborative projects and discuss activities that the member community could implement in the future.

The TUSEV 2023 Annual Board of Trustees Meeting took place on Friday, May 12th, hosted by the Sabancı Foundation at the Sabancı Center. During the meeting, TUSEV’s activities for 2022 were presented, and the 2022 financial statements, independent audit, and Audit Committee reports were shared and approved by the members of the Executive Board and Audit Committee, as well as the Board of Trustees. Following the presentation of TUSEV’s 2023 work program to the members, the 2023 budget was discussed and approved by the members. As a result of the evaluation of membership applications and their approval by the Board of Trustees, the following organizations joined TUSEV as members: The Dr. (h.c) Ibrahim Bodur Kaleseramik Education, Health and Social Welfare Foundation, Ekol Foundation, SOSEV Soma Health Social and Education Foundation, Tekfen Foundation for Education, Health, Culture, Art, and Protection of Natural Resources (Tekfen Foundation) and Turkey SMA Foundation. Information was provided regarding members that decided to leave TUSEV during the year.

In the election held to replace members who left the Executive Board, Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation and Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV) were elected as members of TUSEV’s Board. In the election held to replace the member who left the Audit Committee, İnci Education Foundation was elected as a member of TUSEV’s Audit Committee.

The TUSEV 2022 Annual Board of Trustees Meeting took place on Monday, May 16th, hosted the Vehbi Koç Foundation at the Divan Istanbul Hotel. During the meeting, TUSEV’s activities for 2021 were presented, and the 2021 financial statements, independent audit, and Audit Committee reports were shared and approved by the members of the Executive Board and Audit Committee, as well as the Board of Trustees. Following the presentation of TUSEV’s 2022 work program to the members, the 2022 budget was discussed and approved by the members. As a result of the evaluation of membership applications and their approval by the Board of Trustees, the following organizations joined TUSEV as members: İnci Foundation, Genç Başarı Education Foundation and Yamantürk Foundation.

The TUSEV 2021 Annual Board of Trustees Meeting took place on Friday, May 18th, hosted by the Sabancı Foundation at Sabancı Center. During the meeting, TUSEV’s activities for 2020 were presented, and the 2020 financial statements, independent audit, and Audit Committee reports were shared and approved by the members of the Executive Board and Audit Committee, as well as the Board of Trustees. Following the presentation of TUSEV’s 2021 work program to the members, the 2021 budget was discussed and approved by the members.

In the meeting, an election was held to appoint the chair and members of the Executive Board, as well as members of the Audit Committee. Based on the election, the following members were appointed to the Executive Board: Chair – Erdal Yıldırım from the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation, Nevgül Bilsel Safkan from the Sabancı Foundation, Alparslan Tansuğ from ENKA Sports, Education and Social Assistance Foundation, Candan Fetvacı from Aydın Doğan Foundation, Cihan Özsönmez from Vehbi Koç Foundation, Devrim Çubukçu from Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı Foundation, Gün Han Başik from Kadir Has Foundation, Nedret Aydemir from Anadolu Foundation, Hasan Süel from Turkey Vodafone Foundation, Prof. Dr. Öner Günçavdı from Elginkan Foundation and Nermin Ceylan from Turkish Education Foundation. Based on the election, the following members were appointed to the Audit Committee: Sait Tosyalı from Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey, Canan Çelik from Borusan Kocabıyık Foundation and Nigar Evgin from Spastic Children’s Foundation of Turkey-Cerebral Palsy Turkey.
