The Reputation of Civil Society
Communities
Philanthropy Professionals Training Program Alumni Community
We continue to bring together our community of 135 civil society professionals who have completed the Philanthropy Professionals Training Program, one of our activities within the scope of the Philanthropy Infrastructure Development Project, which we carried out between 2011-2021. We meet throughout the year to discuss issues on the civil society agenda in meetings we organise under the titles of learning together, learning from each other and looking out for each other.
Grant Making Organizations Working Group
We established the Grantmaking Organizations Working Group within the scope of Philanthropy Infrastructure Development Project, which we carried out between 2011-2021. We continue to engage with this group. Together with the community members, who come together to address new approaches in grant-making and to find collective solutions to common challenges faced by grant-making organizations, we have the opportunity to evaluate new approaches to grant-making practices in Türkiye, as well as global trends and practices.
Participatory Philanthropy Group
Participatory philanthropy is a set of practices in which donors meaningfully involve the communities they support and other relevant stakeholders in their decision-making. We are following the participatory philanthropy approach, which fundamentally involves transferring the decision-making power of the donor to those who will be most affected by these decisions, together with a group of our stakeholders who work in Turkish civil society and monitor global developments. We are also working to create possible areas for its application.
