TUSEV has begun working on the 2024 edition of the Individual Giving and Philanthropy Report, which has been the sole resource monitoring individual giving in Türkiye since 2006 under our Effective Giving program. To gather insights from NGO representatives and discuss potential changes to the survey questionnaire before fieldwork begins, we gathered online on March 22. During the meeting, held in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Ali Çarkoğlu, Director of the Civil Society and Philanthropy Research Center at Koç University, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Güneş Ertan from the International Relations Department at Koç University, stakeholders shared their views and observations on how socio-economic developments in Türkiye and globally are influencing individuals’ perceptions of philanthropy, motivations for giving, changes in giving methods, and their relationships with NGOs. The report is scheduled for publication in November 2024.
