We Attended Etkiniz Forum

This year, we attended the Etkiniz Forum in Antalya on April 18-19, themed “Why We Monitor.” The forum brought together representatives from civil society organizations and experts working in the field of human rights. Discussions focused on the use of human rights monitoring mechanisms under the sub-themes of Solidarity, Accountability, and Recovery. Topics included advocacy efforts implemented as a result of monitoring activities and new methods that could be adopted in monitoring. The forum also featured sessions for experience sharing and learning. In sessions titled Solidarity, Advocacy, Justice, and Civil Society Improvement, participants shared insights from various monitoring initiatives, while learning sessions delved into communication within the context of monitoring activities and international mechanisms.
