Report Launch Meeting for “Türkiye’s Freedom of Association Research Reports” on October 24

The launch meeting for two studies focusing on developments in the civil society sector in Türkiye in 2022, conducted by the Third Sector Foundation of Türkiye (TÜSEV) and the Civil Society Development Center Association (STGM) and funded by the European Union as part of the Monitoring Freedom of Association Project, will be held on Tuesday, October 24, in Istanbul.

During the meeting, findings from the “Monitoring Matrix on Enabling Environment for Civil Society Development Türkiye Report 2020-2021” prepared by TÜSEV and the “Civil Society Organizations in Türkiye: Freedom of Association and Right to Participation Report” prepared by STGM will be shared.

The report prepared by TÜSEV examines key issues concerning civil society under three main headings: Fundamental Legal Guarantees of Freedoms, Financial Capacity and Sustainability of CSOs, and Public-CSO Relations. The “Civil Society Organizations in Türkiye: Freedom of Organization and Right to Participation Report” prepared by STGM focuses on the advocacy capacities of civil society organizations and their effective participation in decision-making processes.
