The Monitoring Matrix on Enabling Environment for Civil Society Development – Türkiye Report 2024 is out

We are pleased to announce that the Monitoring Matrix on Enabling Environment for Civil Society Development – Türkiye Report 2024 is now available in English. The report was prepared within the scope of the Monitoring Freedom of Association-II Project, implemented in partnership with the Civil Society Development Centre (STGM) and funded by the European Union.

Developed using the Monitoring Matrix methodology created by the Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN), including TÜSEV, the report offers a comprehensive assessment of the enabling environment for civil society in Türkiye across three main dimensions:

  • Basic Legal Guarantees of Freedoms
  • Framework for CSOs’ Financial Viability and Sustainability
  • Public Sector–CSO Relations

The 2024 Türkiye Report not only reviews the current legal framework and implementation practices but also identifies priority areas for improvement. It aims to guide civil society organizations, public authorities, international organizations, and donors by providing clear findings and actionable policy recommendations.
