Kick-off Meeting for the Publications of “Tax Regulations Affecting Civil Society”

As TUSEV), we have published our series “Tax Regulations Affecting Civil Society” as part of the European Union funded Freedom of Association Monitoring Project in cooperation with the Civil Society Development Center Association (STGM). We are organizing an introductory meeting on Friday, September 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the TUSEV office (Karaköy Minerva Han, Istanbul) to share the results of our research with public.

The series, which includes three publications: Tax Regulations Concerning Associations and Foundations, Taxation of Economic Enterprises of Associations and Foundations, and Public Benefit and Tax Exemption Statuses, examines the impact of tax regulations on the CSOs in Türkiye, reviews different country examples, and presents reform proposals for the financial sustainability of CSOs.

Written by Prof. Dr. Leyla Ateş and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgün Akduran, the series is based on the results of an extensive desk and field research, in which more than 150 CSO representatives and experts contributed their views.

You are invited to our kick-off meeting to reflect on the publications based on extensive field and desk research processes and to evaluate the prominent data together.
