As TUSEV, we have announced the program for the International Conference on Freedom of Association, which will be held on June 11-12 at Yapı Kredi Culture and Arts Center within the scope of the Monitoring Freedom of Association Project that we are conducting in collaboration with the Civil Society Development Center Association (STGM). This conference will bring together civil society organizations, human rights defenders, policymakers, and academics from across Türkiye and the international civil society.
The conference, themed “Strong Civil Society,” will feature experts from Türkiye, Europe, the Balkans, and the USA. Discussions will focus on the global impacts of legislation and practices regulating the freedom of association on civic space and how civil society adapts to changing conditions. We hope that this conference, aimed at sharing knowledge and experiences among representatives from different cities and countries, will also contribute to strengthening communication among civil society organizations
