Our Statement and Recommendations on the Draft Amendments to the Law on Associations and the Law on Fundraising Are Now Published

Last month, the Directorate General of Civil Society Relations (STİGM) published two separate draft amendments to certain articles of the Law on Associations and the Law on Fundraising on its website, inviting opinions and recommendations.

With Decision E: 2021/28, K: 2024/11, published in the Official Newspaper dated 03.04.2024 and numbered 32509, the Constitutional Court annulled certain articles of the Law on Associations (No. 5253) and the Law on Fundraising (No. 2860). In response, the Directorate General of Civil Society Relations has prepared two separate draft amendments to address the annulled articles and has shared these drafts on its website to seek input from civil society organizations.
