Lawyers’ Network Gathered Online for Its Third Session
Within the scope of the Monitoring Freedom of Association Project–II, we held the third meeting of the Lawyers’ Network online on February 20. During the meeting, we discussed current legislation and developments in practice affecting civil society with lawyers working in the field. We shared the current status of our monitoring work in the area of fundraising and the consultation process conducted with public institutions. We also provided information on administrative facilitation for associations and foundations, as well as the joint opinion submitted to the UN Human Rights Committee. The meeting included an evaluation of proposals regarding the new monitoring theme for the upcoming period. In connection, we jointly discussed problem areas such as recent legislative changes, inspections, and cases relevant to civil society. Additionally, lawyers in the network shared and consulted on their experiences related to their areas of practice and ongoing cases.
